What are the Jersey numbers for the 2010 England World Cup Squad for these players?
I live in the States and I am a HUGE fan of the England national football team. I am purchasing the new England ‘09/’11 Home Jersey from a website with the official licensed jersey numbers and lettering for these listed players; however I don’t know if they changed their numbers:
Glen Johnson
Joleon Lescott
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Aaron Lennon
Darren Bent
Jermaine Jenas
Jermain Defoe
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Theo Walcott
Please help me if anyone out there knows these players’ jersey numbers. Even though I’m not on the pitch, having an England jersey will help me show my support when I watch the World Cup matches on TV this summer. Thanks a bunch!
Well the numbers don’t officially get assigned until after the qualifying stage is completed and the managers pick their final 22 players. For the qualifying games the numbers could change as managers try out and call up different players. So for example Rooney could be number 10 for one qualifying game, but if the manager doesn’t call him up for the next game he’ll give that number to another player for that game.
So I wouldn’t trust any website right now that claims they have the official WC2010 jerseys…
